EMSNeeds.com values your confidence and trust. Our Privacy Policy identifies the standards of privacy to manage the information you send us. We clearly define and limit access at all times. To keep you informed, we define what information we store for the safe keeping of your records as defined by state and national EMS standards, how we protect it, and your rights. "You" means any visitor to the EMSNeeds.com website. You agree to this policy when you send information to us or use our products and services.
What Information is gathered?
In general, you may visit our website without providing us with any personal information. However, we may collect information from you in several ways, including but not limited to, the following:

When you register to receive credit for courses, we are required by state and national authorities to record your name, address, certification/license number, license category, score on your test, and courses taken.

After you finish a test, we are required by state and national officials to gather information from the online survey so that we implement feedback to fine-tune the courses and continuously improve quality of content and instructional methods.
- Credit card data is encrypted and protected.
- The Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet is logged when you use the site.
- For future access by you, we use cookies. Cookies are anonymous, unique alphanumeric identifiers sent to your browser from a website computer and stored on your computer's hard drive.
Article 3. Continuing Education Records
§ 100392 Continuing Education Records
- In order for CE to satisfy the requirements for maintaining EMS personnel certification or licensure, CE shall be completed during the current certification/licensure cycle, except as provided in Section 100391.1(e) of this Chapter, and shall be submitted to the appropriate certifying/licensing authority.
- In order for CE to satisfy the requirements for renewal of a lapsed certificate/license, CE shall be valid for a maximum of two years prior to the date of a completed application for certificate/license renewal.
- EMS personnel shall maintain for four years CE certificates issued to them by any CE provider.
- CE certificates may be audited for cause by the certifying/licensing authority or as part of the certifying/licensing authority’s continuing education verification process.
- Approved CE provider record requirements are contained in Section 100395, sub-sections (b) and (l) of this Chapter.

How is my information protected?
Online and network security systems are in place and functional on and offline. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption is used to scramble data in transit to prevent it being read or used.
Our third-party hosting facilities are firewalled and require highly secure means for access with pre-clearance identification. Redundant backups are prepared and securely stored to safeguard data from natural disasters. Emergency generators are in place with their own back-up power supply.
The personal and demographic information about each user is stored on our servers that are behind a firewall and physically housed within a secured data center. Furthermore, our internal practices help protect your privacy by limiting employee access to and use of such information. However, we do not represent, warrant, or guarantee that your personal information will be protected against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alterations, and do not accept any liability for the security of such information submitted to us nor for your or third parties' use or misuse of such information.
Can this policy change?
At our discretion we may modify this policy. You are responsible to review the information periodically to check any changes.
