office or through the Continuing Education Coordinating Board of
Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS).

EMS ONLINE COURSES ALLOWED FOR RECERTIFICATION
- NREMT-First Responder may complete up to 6 hours of the Refresher requirements and may
complete up to 24 hours of the additional EMS related CE requirements.
- NREMT-Basic may complete up to 10 hours of the Refresher requirements and may
complete up to 24 hours of the additional EMS related CE requirements.
- NREMT-Intermediate may complete up to 10 hours of the Refresher requirements and may
complete up to (16 hours for EMT-I85) or (24 hours for EMT-I99) of the
Additional EMS related CE requirements.
- NREMT-Paramedic may complete up to 10 hours of the Refresher requirements and may complete up to 12
hours of the additional EMS-related CE requirements.
Individuals requiring a National Registry card to work must submit recertification materials to the NREMT for processingby mid-July (of the year your certification expires.) Recertification forms are mailed in June, prior to your expiration date. Returned forms must be postmarked no later than September 30.
